Responsibilities:

As a successful Clinical Liaison, you will increase laboratory sales revenue through market penetration and promotion of the CytoGenX portfolio of genetic diagnostic testing services, which focuses on prenatal and postnatal genetic diseases. This will be performed through educating and assisting Obstetricians/gynecologists, Perinatologists, Pediatricians and Infertility specialists to identify their at-risk patients and how to administer appropriate and approved medical genetic testing options available at Cytogenx. Additionally, Clinical Liaisons will also educate Oncologists and health care professionals about hematological and hereditary cancers and the unmatched clinical laboratory service Cytogenx offers, which is centered on a personalized-patient medical testing approach. Clinical Liaisons will advocate the clinical and financial benefits of our medical testing services to all levels of health care professionals and call points in the hospital, specialty clinic, and physician's office, which will include medical doctors, nurses, genetic counselors, and laboratory staff. The successful Clinical Liaison will need a level of sophistication to handle customer relationships with industry leaders, manage the dynamics between lab, doctor, & genetic counselors, and be able to drive highly complex sales to closure. In this role, you will:

 

  • Manage a multi-state sales territory
  • Live in a major metropolitan area of the territory
  • Able to work independently with strong work ethic
  • Must demonstrate a high level of product knowledge
  • Manage and grow business in existing CytoGenX accounts
  • Expand menu utilization in existing accounts
  • Sell genetic diagnostic testing services to new customers
  • Negotiate and manage contracts
  • Introduce new testing products
  • Develop demand for and adoption of new assays
  • Develop and implement customer-specific action plans
  • Work closely with our management and inside sales teams to develop sales strategies
  • Develop and deliver presentations
  • Host and assist with trade shows
  • Manage customer data in the company database
  • Must be willing to drive to appointments throughout territory with occasional overnight responsibilities
  • Achieve sales goals

 

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Bachelor's Science Degree – Masters of Science in Genetic counseling is preferred

  • Experience selling laboratory services to clinicians and hospitals

  • Strong track record of sales success selling a broad portfolio of laboratory testing to different medical specialties

  • Ability to sell technically complex products

  • Expertise with demand creation in a large geography

  • Experience with customer base within territory is a plus

  • Strengths in networking and relationship development

  • Strong oral and written communications skills

  • Some formal sales training experience

  • Strong time and territory management skills

  • Open to and enjoy travel, 50%+ in a multi-state territory

  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point applications
